Have you written something pretty awesome and you'd like to publish it, but you're intimidated and don't think you can navigate the confusing world of Amazon?

Relax! It's not as hard as you think. In fact, it's pretty simple once you get the hang of it. I've published about a dozen books on Amazon now and I'd like to do what I can to help others do the same.

I was just watching a video on youtube from The Writing Gals, and they gave a bit of wisdom about AMS ads that I thought was brilliant.

Go to your book listing on Amazon and write down some popular authors that you see in the "also bought" or "similar books" areas toward the bottom of the screen and use those author names in your ad keywords. I haven't tried this yet, so I don't know how well it works, but I'm definitely going to!

Also, they said instead of editing existing ads, you should just create a new ad. Apparently, Amazon doesn't do well with continuing to show old ads, so the best way to keep your ad "relevant" is to just create a new one.

If you use AMS ads, please feel free to pop in with any bit of information you may have on the topic!

In my opinion, there's nothing like having a physical book. I try, but I'm not fond of ebooks.

I think if it would make you feel better, go ahead and message her. However, you may want to prepare yourself for further communication from her. (I suppose it could be positive but chances are it would be just the opposite.) Personally, I would let it go as it's only one review and you're right, I don't think that responding to negative feedback is a good thing.

I read The Teacher's Piano and I think you have nothing to worry about. I love it. The only thing that I didn't like was that it was too short!

I say, leave her to her own opinion because you've got many more positive ones to focus on.
