The Streets of Cheese is the story of two mice, Mousecarpone and Whiskers, growing up in a city controlled by aristocratic rats: the Aristorattus. Ratopian guards at every corner, curfews at night, poison-tipped weapons: everything leads to an illegal dice game that sends both mice as prisoners aboard the Dish-Half-Full, a pirate ship run by a one-eyed Siamese Cat named Captain Hali. When the ship wrecks unexpectedly, the siblings are separated. What starts as a strange meeting with another mouse on a surf board--leads Mousecarpone to uncover secrets of a strange island city. Meanwhile, Whiskers washes up on shore as a prisoner with Captain Hali. Can the two mouslings find each other before it's too late? And how is there a city full of mice with no rats?
