My first blog entry! Wow. A few hours ago, I wasn't really sure what I should write about. Everyone makes it seem so easy - just find a topic and type about it. Some people even said that I didn't need a topic to write about. So, as I stared at this intimidatingly huge text box, I was desperately searching for answers of what to write about. I mean, first impressions are important, right? I knew I couldn't mess this up. Then I knew that if people are going to even read my blog, they will probably want to know about the author first. So that's when I decided to write about myself (honestly, this is one of my favorite subjects; I can talk about myself for hours!). For today's blog entry, you'll get to learn a little bit about me. But, before you start, you should probably know that I'm thirteen years old. What are some things you like to do in your free time? There are lots of things I like to do. One of the most obvious things is what I'm doing now - writing. I write make-believe stories all the time; most of the time just for fun. I also love to read. Some of my most favorite books are a part of book series: the Harry Potter series, Twilight, the Hunger Games, and Divergent. There are obviously a lot of other books I favorite out there as well, but those are the ones I can name off of the top of my head. I also like to watch tv. My favorite tv show of all time is Once Upon a Time (although the seventh season is awful). The show I am currently watching is Vampire Diaries. If you're watching it, please comment who your favorite character is. Mine is Damon Salvatore all the way. What are some of your "Favorite Things"? Honestly, most of my favorite things change within every day. It mainly depends on what mood I am in. For example, my favorite singer used to be Olivia Rodrigo (do you see the keywords, used to be?). Here are some of my current favorite things, though. Color: Baby Blue Animal: Elephants (always has been and always will be) TV Show: Stranger Things Movie: ??? Food: Ribs or anything that has sugar as an ingredient Flowers: Daffodils Store: Barnes and Noble Drink: Water Sport: Basketball (although I cannot play it) Ice cream Flavor: Mint chocolate-chip Who are your best friends? Why are these people your best friends? I don't have any best friends at the moment, besides my mom. This school year is a fresh start for me, and I hope to find a couple of new, better friends for myself! This is all for today. I hope you like this! Feel free to comment or give a review. | I don't know if I've said this in any of my blog entries lately, but we're moving. We're not moving very far, only a couple of streets down the road, but the size of the new house is much bigger and it is two stories instead of just one. It'll be a newly built house, so we will be the first people to live in that house! Part of the moving process is keeping your house as clean as possible. This means immediately putting your dishes inside the dishwasher, cleaning up every mess you make, and vacuuming the house about ten times a day. This has its perks - the house is actually completely clean for once! - but the actual cleaning part isn't very fun. One of my chores to help around is to mow the front yard and pull the weeds. And let me tell you. I. Hate. Mowing. The. Yard. My dad insists that I mow the yard because he says he doesn't want me to "end up like my mom" who apparently "can't mow the yard without leaving strips of unmowed grass everywhere." I honestly think it's just because he's getting old and doesn't want to admit it. We're supposed to move in November, so I'm pretty excited! I sure hope this is all worth it. |
| Today was an okay-day - nothing really special happened. For my first three classes (History, Algebra, and PE) I was just waiting for it to be done. I love my teachers in those classes, but I'm not sitting with anyone I feel necessarily comfortable sitting with. We did a test in band, which was worth 100 points, so I was pretty nervous! I ended up acing it, and I got first chair in the clarinets! Yaay! (our band teacher said the first chair would get a candy bar, so that was really my main motivation for trying so hard.) | Hey, guys, I am super sorry for not writing yesterday. I got busy and ran out of time :( If you want to know what I've been up to this summer, then continue reading!! Most of the summer I stayed home alone with my brother, Hudson, watching tv pretty much all days. The tv that this included was Vampire Diaries (finished it!), the newest episodes of HSMTMTS, and the first episode of She-Hulk, along with some other Marvel movies I hadn't watched yet. If anyone has any good shows I should watch (preferably TV-14 or under), PLEASE comment below. Unfortunately I didn't get to go to Louisiana to see my family since someone had to watch my brother while my parents were at work. BUT, we did still get to go to Destin, Florida for an entire week! Mostly we played at the beach or lounged at the pool by our condo, but we also did a few other cool activities. We went on a snorkeling boat trip, which basically just ended with all of us getting pelted by rain and freezing our tails off for three hours. We only actually spent 10 minutes snorkeling, and spotted a few dolphins in Crab Island. We also went to Big Kahuna, a waterpark in Destin. I went on all the slides, some of which were completely terrifying as you slid down in complete darkness, and others that were really fun! Usually I'm the wimp when it comes to water, but this time my mom was the one to turn down any invitations to ride the slides! This school year I am going into eighth grade, which means that I am now at the top of our school! We started school about four days ago, and I barely have any classes with my friends. However I choose to see that as an opportunity to make new friends this year, ones who will treat me the way I actually deserve to be treated. I see this school year as a fresh start. Bye everyone!
