My blog with multiple titles of a dubious nature. |
Questionable Practices of the Spare Chicken ... or ... Private Bits The Unnamed Blog My Own Private Island Drawbridge to My Mind Give Me an Eraser for This Thing Blog Which is so Confusing That a Name Really Could Not Fit, and If It Did, This Wouldn't Be It, So Just Scroll Down and Have a Read Anyway ... or, on the naughtier side ... Questionable Practices of My Private Bits ~~~~~~~~~~ I decided to use multiple titles, but if you would still like to vote on my blog title you still can. Here is the link.
~~~~~~~~~~ Now, down to the focus of my blog. *ponders and wrinkles brow* There is none. I plan on talking about anything and everything that is wierd and happens to cross my mind at the time. Some moments may seem pretty sane, but they will quickly be interrupted by things much less normal, things that may make you cringe, clamp your jaw tight and make sure your belt buckle is still cinched. Anyway, on with the ... ramblings. |
Where to start... muahahaha... |
This is a pic of the two of us in the cottage we rented for the week. It was a really cool place and when the end of the week came around I wished we could have just moved in. It was such a cozy, stone building on the side of a hill that looked over a tiny village and the surrounding farmland (including an entire sheep population that could rival the human population in my home town). ** Images For Use By Upgraded+ Only ** I'll do a post of what I thought of the week once I get some more time to just sit down and type it up. I will also have several more pics to post, possibly in a photo album. So, keep checking back if you are struck by that feline sort of curiosity. |
I asked kittiara if she wanted to write up a note to go in my blog about our vacation this past week and this is what she had to send back with me. If anyone wants me to pass any messages to her you can either post a comment or e-mail me. ... and if you are digging for any juicy details you might have a really hard time ahead of you. Hi everyone! Tis the stray feline here. For my latest adventure, I decided to try and lure a Jedi Moose to the UK. And what do you know? A few weeks later he’d crossed the ocean to drag me off to sheep country (the Yorkshire Dales). We met many sheep here. I even managed to pet one, which isn’t as easy as it sounds. They have a tendency to wander off. It has been a lovely week. The good ole British weather cooperated, and we’ve had quite a bit of sun. For those who remember my Christmas handle – I really am Kitti the Rednosed Feline right now. It was a bit worrying when I found out that other guests named this place ‘spider cottage’. One lady found 17 monster spiders here within a few days. Jedi found a couple in the bathroom but evicted them before they confronted me. I did find a couple in my bedroom, and had to drag the poor lad out of his room to try and catch the things. As for sightseeing, we’ve been to Skipton Castle, Aysgarth Falls, Bolton Castle, the Ingleton Waterfall trail, Manchester, the Wensleydale cheese thingi place (think Wallace and Grommit), went for a walk around this area and we visited Beyond the Cloud9 (she’s great!). You might be interested in what I thought of the owner of this blog. Right? I bet you are. Wellz, I think he’s lovely. Nicest guy you could wish to go on a holiday with. Made me feel all special and he looked after me so well. I didn’t even mind visiting a Dr. Who expo with him, and I’d never seen a single episode. And he brought me a cuppa-in-bed every morning. He’s got a wicked smile, and makes me giggle again and again. I’ll definitely miss him. He’s also got rid of any stereotypical thoughts I might have had about Americans (though I never had many). And I look forward to visiting the USA in December, as Jedi has asked me to come over for Christmas. Should be loads of fun. Yups, it’s been a very pleasant holiday and I sure had a good time. For any other info, well, I am sure you could poke the Moose, but not sure how much he will share. Muahahahaha. Aren’t I efil? Let’s just say it’s been interesting… kittiara |
Woot! Only a few hours left until I get on a plane to cross the pond! Woohoo!! Anyway, I will try and keep a travel log during the trip so I can post it here when I get back. And if I can get online from there I'll do a post or two then also. Oh, and by the way, I'll pass on all the comments and hugs everyone is sending for Kitti. |
I'm making the trip! UK, here I come!! I am going on vacation starting the 18th and heading to England. The main goal is to meet a close friends I made on writing.com, kittiara. Plus, I want to have look around over there again. It's been a really long while since my last trip to Europe and then I only went as far north as London. This time I will be up around Manchester. Right now I have everything booked and have my passport ready to go. I am just debating on whether I want to try and lug the laptop with me. I'll be taking the cell phone and getting a local SIM card for it so I can do local calls there and not have to use my normal account at it's rates. Other than that, I plan on borrowing my brother's camera and snapping loads of pics. And, by the way, it sure has been a while since my last post in here. ... And if anyone wants to write a letter to Kitti, you can do so and e-mail me. I'll print anything out I get before the 18th and take it with me. |
Everything looks dull again after all the bright colors from the holidays. I guess that leaves me waiting for them to start up again in the early fall. |
I was looking around my office at the books on the shelves, through my gaming books and noticed my older D&D books. They are very well used. I don't have any of the original books from the first edition anymore but I do have my second edition rulebooks still. The two most used of the books are my Player's Handbook and my Dungeon Master's Guide. Well, the first DMG was replaced so the one I have now is a replacement. I think the original was too damaged to keep. Anyway, I think I have the roleplaying bug again. I need to get a few people together and get a game started one of these days. |
I think I might try and wake this thing back up again. It's been a while and hopefully I can put something in here each day even if it's something really small or rather lame. I was just browsing through my stack of Dungeon Magazines to see which ones I am still looking for and this is what I came up with: Issues: 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 8, 10, 13, 14, 15, 17, 18, 19, 20, 21, 23, 24, 25, 27, 29, 30, 64, 65, 68, 74, 79, 81, 82, 83, 84, 85, 86, 95, 116, 118, 119, 120, 121, 122 I can find most of them at http://www.paizo.com since they are the current publisher of them and I will get them in really good condition, including any maps or other items that came out with those issues, but the price can be high on many of those older ones and they don't even have all of them in stock anymore. I've been searching eBay for them but those sometimes don't have the extra bits that came with the issues and some of those things are needed for the adventures in them if I choose to use them. So, my hunt goes on. It's possible I can find some at the Origins convention this summer but I need to find out what came packaged with those issues for my want list. |
Several people seemed to like this contest last time I hosted it, and I had a friend asked if I would run it again, so here it is for a much awaited round two.
I hope to get loads of entries and have some great judging to do during early February. |
My brother and I are all signed up for Origins 2007 gaming convention in July!! Woohoo! http://www.originsgames.com It would be really cool if I ran into some of you people there. If anyone is planning on attending let me know and we'll meet up. Hmmm... Maybe I should pack for a zombie invasion... |
