A good poem by a 13 year old (me).
[Introduction]
I had a dream.
I didn’t live to please
People who don’t let me speak
I wouldn’t kiss the feet
Of those who had me pled
Of those who had me beat
Of those who couldn’t feed
Slaves like me
I have a belief
If I mistreat
My master, even slightly
It would be
The end of me.
But I’ll hold
On to my hope
On to believing
Even when whites say I dreaming
Because I had a dream.
Thank you,
Martin Luther King
(Jr.)
