just somthing i wrote at work thinking about fear
[Introduction]
Trees enclosed the twisted road, the only light came from the broken branches above were the faint stars tried to shine through. As he walked down the path voices whispered from the trees.
“Turn back.” they cried,
The voices were childlike, scratchy so full of pain. Deeper along the path the voices got louder
This path will surely be your dooms please turn back.
Bodies knocking on trees the children who gave him this warning hung from every tree along side of the road. There lips were blue and cracked and eyes were colorless. They swing there little bodies back and forth making the forest around the road blaring with a clock like THUM THUM THUM.

Head held high looking in all directions he comes upon a village at the end of the forest. The buildings glow red from the light of fires on the corners of the village blocks. The wind blows the fire gets brighter. A sure sign of dread is in sight.
Along a walkway that leads to an office building clowns with blood as face paint that covers their deformed faces. Trade and fight over body parts, some eat them others buys boys and girls with theirs. Around a table some look and laugh as a woman gets beaten and cut for the teeth, her meat, her life. He caught the attention of one and the homicidal clowns. And it yelled…
WE LIVE ON FLESH WE CARE FOR JUST US KEEP LOOKING BOY YOU SOON WILL SEE HOW FUNNY WE CAN BE..
Knees ready to give out, his back cold as ice he pushes ahead. Out of windows he sees hands emerge waving to him.
Come here and have a great time, we have all you need right here sex, drugs and fast cash. Just come inside!
You can leave any time!
Tempted he goes to the window and peeks inside the walls were slime and the hands were waving him closer. “Come closer” voices called out. He shook his head and walked a way.
The voices cried YOU DAMN FOOL NO ONE LEAVES YOU WILL PAY!.

Alone on the road, it gets dark the stars refuse to shine the fires are nowhere in sight. His feet get heavy. His head filled with self-pity. No one is my friend all they want is to take and to use me as they please.
In the dark he hears voices chatting they don’t lower the tone of there voices.
He is weak!
He is alone!
No one can help him now! He will fail and when he dose I shall be the first to say I told you so!
The voices get softer and softer.
He follows the path knowing if he gives up they will take everything he holds dear.

He turns in an alley almost to his home. The dead comes out of the rot along to sides of the building. So many they drown the little light he has. The dead laugh and push him back every step he takes. They bite but not chew his body. All the laughter smothers all other sounds. The pushes and bites turn more violent as he tries to push him self forward. Kicks and punches comes next he tries not to fall. Make it past the alley he thinks. Something better is waiting for you and is not that far.
He opens the door to his house with the dead clawing at his back. The light is blinding the warmth is alien.
He thinks, Am I safe or is it just one more trick?
He runs to his room down the hall and jumps in to his bed he cries and thinks how he can skip tomorrow he never wants to leave his bed.
The ceiling cracks and long arms hold him in to place the dead breaks down his door and piles in to his room. Clowns appear from under the bed and the dark voices whisper in his ear I told you so. You can try but you will never be safe living in such fear.

Trees enclosed the twisted road and he just walks way never will he know that the road is clear and he isn’t pray. He will never live life how he wants to. He will never do as he pleases. For his mind is the only place were fear lived on this road. There were it will stay.
