Who am i Lyrics
[Introduction]
i come from a town
where smoke lived up in the sky
clouds filled all around
generating gas, not a metaphor for getting high
i come from a mother who loved in any weather
a dad who was in prison and never cared after
brothers that faced there own struggles
drug abuse n losing lifes best
`they were the hurdles
death has lived in my life
since i was 9
miss them all so much, but thats all in the past times

my nan that adored her only grandaughter, now in a photoframe
and to me her face looked like it never saw pain

but now as a grown adult
ive know she was born in 1907
so therefore as a result
she lived in both wars,
im a proud grandaughter looking up to heaven
n for every more

not just that , she was born in east ham
smack bang in the middle of london town
if a face hadnt seen pain
it wasnt hers she must of learned to smile thro the rain

so who am i
what made me the woman i am
i always ask why n always give a damn
at the age of 17 i left home for a tent
in the back of my best friends garden , no rent
she worked at gregs at the time
n wud bring black bags of sandwiches home
n for that im sure my nan wuda had a cockney rhyme
so who am i
what made me the woman i am
i always ask why n always give a damn
