Thoughts fat a beloved funeral.
[Introduction]
To Know Lynne was a privilege, and saying "Good By" Thursday wasn't easy. Sitting in the back pew, waiting for the coffin to be guided in and escorted down the isle my eyes took in the exquisite architecture and refined decor of St. Michael's. Catholics certainly know how to do it up nicely. Searching out the sun that seeped through the majestic stain glass, trying to warm up the sadness that reached every corner of the church. It didn't work. Even the back light that brighten up all the colors in each etching of the glass didn't bring the joy and awe it was suppose to. Even the birds chirping their melodious songs didn't help take away the sorrow that was in every ones heart.

Then, there it was, Lynne's lifeless body enclosed in a shiny, oak casket. Even the fully bloomed blood red roses, that adorned the coffin couldn't hind the fact that her soul had already escaped this earth. Moved on to something better then this, something better then the birds singing while the sun warmed the earth. Something better then the man made crafted elegance of the church, or the love of all who was there. Something befitting a truly kind, loving, genuine, and rare individual. Something befitting one with such a caring heart that her beauty went way beyond skin deep. Something better then her earthly self.

Through it all my sadden heart keep circling the fact that heaven had received such a blessing and this earthly world of ours lost a irreplaceable treasure.
