A descent into the madness of a cat who had been chased by monsters for far too long.
[Introduction]
Gather 'round, and listen well, for a story we shall tell.

Run. That is all she could tell herself to do. Run, run in the opposite direction of the monster chasing her. Its fangs were longer than her tail, its body black as a dead midnight. One part of it glowed, however - just below the white slit it had for an eye was a glowing, red rose shape. She could see other monsters, differing in the shape of blackness that had seemingly consumed them all.

But they were all chasing her.

Run, my child, run, his voice echoed in her mind, distorted as it was. Perhaps, one day, you'll make it into my spotlight. For now, just run.

She knew nothing of his 'spotlight', only that if she stopped running, the monsters were going to kill her.
