The prompt for round 7 and 8:

Imagine the following scenario: You are asleep in your dorm when Harry materializes in front of you. He and the team need your help to track down the Horcruxes. (NAGINI (SNAKE), GOBLET, DIARY, LOCKET, RING, DIADEM, AND PART OF VOLDEMORT'S SOUL.) The team members are required to write and creative campfire story about you adventures. You don't have to write about all of them. If your team chooses to concentrate on one or each teammate wants to write about a different one, that is up to you, but each part of the story must link with the previous part of the story. Extra points will be given for the smoothness of the handover.

Task 1: The first team member starts the campfire story. (100-500 words)

Task 2: The next team member continues the campfire story.(100-500 words)

Task 3: The next team member continues the campfire story.(100-500 words) For the 6th entry, 50-750 words.
There was a subtle pop, and there he was. Harry Potter was in the living room of a Slytherin girl his own age. The blonde’s wand was out in a flash and pointed at Potter.

“Put your wand down, Greengrass.”

“Sorry, Potter. Reflexes, you understand. You’re a hunted wizard, along with Weasley and the Muggleborn.”

“I know, and that’s why I’m here. I need your help.”

“My help? With what?”

“Daphne, I know despite being in Slytherin and one of about 25 remaining Pureblood families, your family were never deep into the Dark Arts. Hermione, Ron, and I are on the trail of Voldemort’s horcruxes so that we can put an end to him for once and all.”

Daphne twitched at the Dark Lord’s name being spoken aloud. She had never heard even those Slytherins whose parents were likely in his closest circle say Voldemort’s name out loud. “And you came to me?”

“Unlike Dumbledore, I’m not an idiot. I know the only way I’m going to pull this off is with a Slytherin’s help.”

“I don’t believe in the Dark Lord and his objectives. I think we can live side-by-side with the Muggles. But understand this. I will never truly be friends with you, Ron, and the rest. I may not believe that Muggles should be tortured or killed, but I also don’t believe that we should be diluting our blood by marrying them.”

“I appreciate your honesty, even if I may not like the sentiment.”

“Very few people know what I am about to tell you. But tell me first, how many have you already destroyed?”

Harry was caught off guard by the question. “How do you know I’ve destroyed any?”

“Some of my cousins were there when the Dark Lord created many of his horcruxes, so I know what most of them are. And if you think what happened in the Chamber of Secrets is a secret, then you have no business on this mission. So I know you have destroyed at least one Horcrux.”

“That’s the only one, and Dumbledore destroyed a ring before he was murdered.”

“Then you have the three Founder’s Horcruxes left to find. I’m not sure what they are, but they are linked to Salazar Slytherin, Helga Hufflepuff, and Rowena Ravenclaw. The Hufflepuff object, whatever it is, I know that it is hidden away in Bellatrix Lestrange’s Gringott’s vault, so good luck in finding that one.”

“That’s it? Just three more. I thought this would be harder.”

“Don’t be an idiot, Potter. That snake of his is a sixth Horcrux, but you won’t exactly need to go hunting for her. When you face the Dark Lord, the snake will not be far from her master. The Dark Lord is naturally the seventh. But there is rumour of an eighth Horcrux. If it exists, I’ve got no idea what it might be.”

A few pops later and the two stepped out into the forest where Hermione, Harry, and Ron had spent that last few months.

“Hermione, I’m back,” Harry’s voice shot through the area. The spell concealing the tent wasn’t the easiest to cast so relying on the curly haired witch was always their best idea. A few beats later and their home appeared; a small, dull, beige colored patchwork of fabrics where a point pulled at the top.

“Harry wh- Greengrass?”

“Who else?” Humor danced behind the words.

Hermione’s wand flashed towards the girl's heart. A war was no place to get complacent, even if she ached to put it down and pull the other close.

“What was the thing first you did when we met under the Willow?”

“I gave you the snake charm that lies on your wrist,”

“What was the name I gave you the night we left in our Third Year?”

“You called me Spring,”

Letting out a sigh of relief, she lowered her wand.

“I didn’t think I’d see you again,”

Daphne scoffed and walked in front of her, wrapping her arms around the shorter’s waist.

“The Dark Lord can’t get rid of me, so you certainly can’t.”

Hermione hummed and leaned into the embrace, her lips finding Daphne’s.

Harry gave them a few moments of relative privacy--glancing at the sky, looking around the encampment, etc.--before clearing his throat. The girls stepped back from each other, but not much.

"I thought you'd never be friends with a Muggleborn, Daphne. And what about that whole speech on diluting your blood?"

"This isn't what I'd call 'being friends', Potter, and a little snogging isn't going to affect my blood in the slightest."

"You mean, I don't get your blood racing?" inquired Hermione, a little hurt in her voice.

"Blood, heart and more, like a rain-swollen stream in Spring, but - later." Daphne's dark eyes lost their smoulder, but none of their fire. She turned to Harry.

"I take it, you're after the Diadem Horcrux?"

"Yes," Harry replied. "You say the Hufflepuff Cup is securely locked up and, With Ron gone, I don't fancy wandering into the Crystal Cave looking for Salazar Slytherin's Locket with just Hermione -"

"Your info's out of date, Potter; it's not there anymore," Daphne interrupted. "Professor Umbridge has it."

"Umbridge!" gasped Hermione. "Are you sure?"

"Lucius Malfoy shares too many secrets with Draco, who can't help bragging to those two idiot friends of his, Crabbe and Goyle. I overheard them babbling about it."

"So, with the Cup and Locket out of the picture, that truly leaves us only the Ravenclaw Diadem to search out. I don't suppose you know anything about its location, do you, Daphne?"

"Almost nothing, Potter. Only that it's supposedly in a room that's almost impossible to find."

"The Room of Requirement!" the Gryffindors exclaimed in unison.

"Does anyone else know about this?"

"I don't think so, my sweet. Except for this rumour, all I've ever heard is that it's a great hiding place for people."

"We've got to try and find it, Harry, before someone in Slytherin does and gives it to You-Know-Who!"

"Right!"

The trio clasped one another's hands, there was a subtle pop!, and the clearing was empty.
Meanwhile Ron returned to the clearing, having destroyed the locket, which Dobby had whisked away from Umbridge. He used the Sword of Gryffindor and couldn't believe the vision that seeped out of it. Hermoine and Daphne?? He had had snogging time with Daphne in second year. He shook his head. He had traded the Sword to Griphook for the cup in Bellatrix's vault and kept it safe in his pocket. The deluminator had proved its worth as a light, and revealer of lies. Now, he hoped he would be forgiven for leaving.

He disapparated to Hogwarts and wound up at the deserted Borgen and Burkes to meet up with his friends.

"Hey, mate!"

"Ron! Where have you been?"

"Ah sorry, I guess this magic stuff got to me. Anyway, I destroyed that devilish locket and have the cup here..."

"How on earth did you do that?" Daphne was nonplussed.

"Ron, that's wonderful!" Hermoine was full of admiration, though still ticked at his departure.

He smiled at her. "Long story and we don't have the sword so we'll need something else. What are we doing here?"

"We need to get to the room of Requirement to find the diadem."

"We're going to use the Vanishing Cabinet to sneak into the one at Hogwarts!" Daphne piped in. "My brilliant idea!"

"Yes, well, Slytherins are good at sneaking." Ron sneered. Hermoine shoved him.

"Let's get on with it." Harry opened the door and they went in. Poof!

When he opened it again they were in the eerie shadows of the Hogwarts room. "Come on! Follow me. I know we are close." Harry said, as they wandered up aisles of stuff! Ron's deluminator kept lighting so he followed its glow right to where a hidden basilisk fang was hidden.

"Here it is!" yelled Harry. He shoved away pixies to find an ornate box with the deadly diadem. Daphne grabbed it and put it on her head. "oh, how .." She fell and Voldemorte's dark voice spoke through her: "Potter, I am coming for you!"

"Potter!" Harry turned. "Daphne! What are you doing with these, these..muggle lovers?" Draco spat.

Hermoine took the diadem off and helped a shakey Daphne up just as Ron came round the corner yelling "Run" as a fiendfyre from Crabbe's wand blast chased him. It was moving faster than they could run.

Harry shouted, "Here! Take a broom!" They all flew up over the fire toward the door. Daphne picked up Draco on the way and dumped him out. "No hard feelings." The diadem flew out of Harry's hand. Ron speared it with the fang and kicked it into the fiendfyre. The yawing mouth of Voldemort blew out at them.

"Whew! That was close!" Ron said as Draco ran off.

Hermoine and Harry marvelled at Ron. "Where did you get the fang and..." Daphne was irritated at how helpful Ron was turning out to be.

"I told you, this deluminator is .. I just follow the light." he shrugged his shoulders.

"Light is nice, and all...but we need to move." Daphne commented as she closed her eyes. A couple of deep breaths had everyone looking at her. "Someone is trying to get to us. Someone can see us. move!"

Without further argument the group left the area and back to regroup.

"How did you know?" Harry asked Daphne when they reached a safe distance away.

"What?" the female responded irritated, but with something in her eyes.

"That someone was close, and trying to 'get us'?"

"Someone was trying to read my mind to find out where we were going. If we had stayed around...and decided, they might have know. Occlomancy isn't my strong suit." she answered, trying to sound dismissive.

"Occlomancy?! Did Snape teach you?" Harry pushed knowing it was possible.

She waved her hand. "He tried, but I got bored with it. Whatever."

"As interesting as this might be..." Ron interjected. "We still have to figure out what is left. How many do we have left? Diadam, diary, locket, goblet..." Ron rattled off. "All destroyed except for the goblet, but at least we have it. What's left?"

"What else would he have?" Hermoine asked, her gaze ever so slightly turning to the only one of the group who shared a house with Voldemort.

"Just this giant snake." Daphne shrugged. "I mean, obviously"

The group was silent for a moment before Ron swallowed the lump in his throat. "At least it's not spiders this time."

"Yea, it's a snake...with a guy from a House that it's their...you know mascot." Harry finished out the thought everyone else had.

"Stay quiet, walk softly." Daphne explained making their way onto Hogwarts. "It's likely it will know we are here."

The quartet moved, coming around a corner and Ron, out in front, paused. "Found it." he whispered.

Before them was a ten foot long snake, sitting up and swaying as it regarded them. Her tongue came out, tasting the air around them before lunging forward, scattering the small group.

"Stupify!" the boys shouted as their wands came to bear at the beast. Hit with both charms, the snake rocked as if punched. A moment later, the back its body started to coil.

"Petrificus Totalus!" Hermoine countered and the snake stiffened, toppling to the ground. Her tongue continued to taste even though it was all that could move.

Once again the group was still, looking to each other for the next step when Harry let out a shout and slapped his hand to his forehead. "No, no, no..."

Ron and Hermoine turned, knowing what it meant. Once her eyes left Ron, they found Daphne's. "He's coming. My charm won't last long."

Take a deep breath and steadying her hand, Daphne pointed her wand at the snake. "Avada Kedavra!" she shouted. A green light arced from the tip to the snake who screamed in pain then was still,

The group gaped at her and she shrugged. "He would do it to us."

Daphne’s eyes lingered on the fallen Snake, “use the fang,” she addressed Ron.

His scowl showed just how much he didn’t like being ordered around, but he stepped up and stabbed the snake nonetheless, before doing the same to the cup.

“Harry,” Hermione said, kneeling next to Harry who had fallen to the floor.

Daphne’s eyes didn’t leave the snake. She waited for the customary dying horcrux screams to subside before walking over to it, her expression darkening.

“Daphne?” Ron asked, something about her expression worrying him.

“So, it’s already happened,” she said in a barely audible voice and Ron could have sworn that her eyes were watering. When she looked up from the Snake though, her usually calm expression had been restored.

Before Ron could ask her anything, they all heard Voldemort’s voice in their heads. He wanted Harry, otherwise he would kill everyone.

They all looked at Harry.

“I’ll face him. At least now if I kill him he dies for good. No more Horcruxes.”

“Except that there is one more,” Daphne said.

“Are you mad?!” Ron bellowed.

“She’s not,” Hermione said, looking somber, “I didn’t want to believe it myself.”

“Believe what?” Harry asked.

“Hermione,” Daphne said, “would you please take Ron and go to the main hall, we’ll join you shortly.”

Hermione hesitated for a second before nodding, “yeah.”

And with that the two were gone.

“Why did you send them away?”

Without answering, Daphne put a hand in her pocket and produced a small vial with some clear liquid in it, “you know what to do,” she said, handing it to Harry.

He was confused for a second, before it dawned on him, “memories,” he concluded.

“You don’t have a lot of time,” she said, “take it to the pensieve in Dumbledore’s office. It’ll tell you exactly where the final horcurx is.”

“This is no time for being cryptic, Daphne, just tell me…”

“I can’t,” Daphne said, “it was Dumbledore’s wish for Snape to tell you.”

“Snape?” Harry asked, voice dripping with confusion.

“Go.”

Harry watched Snape’s memories, and Daphne could only imagine the weight of finding out that his father was a bully, that Snape was innocent, and that he was the final Horcux. Let alone the shock of finding out that he must allow himself to die at Voldemort’s hands.

When Harry emerged from Dumbledore’s office, he looked every bit as distraught as Daphne expected him to be.

“Are you going to him?” she asked.

“I must,” he said.

“I’ll walk with you for a bit.”

He nodded. “How long have you known…” Harry asked, “that I am the final Horcrux?”

Daphne hesitated before deciding to tell him the truth, the boy is going to his death, that should be grounds for temporarily abandoning Slytherin’s code of evasiveness, “Snape told me two years ago.”

Harry turned to her, surprised.

She gave a sad smile, “I lied when I said I am not that good at occlumency, I am actually great at it and I can read anyone’s mind, all thanks to professor Snape. He took a special interest in me when I first got here, said I had a unique talent. That talent one day enabled me to break into his own mind and find out about the horcruxes and his agreement with Dumbledore. He told me everything right then and there and I have been helping him watch over you since then.”

Harry was stunned, “that’s why you agreed to help us.”

She nodded, “I owe it to professor Snape; he was a great man.”

“Was?”

“The snake killed him before we got to it; I saw its final memories when it was dying. Voldemort had it kill him, that’s why it was in the castle,” Daphne said, her voice breaking and yet she forced herself to smile through the tears, “this is where I leave you, Harry.”

They came to a stop at the gateway that led into the forest.

Harry was about to walk forward but hesitated.

She put a hand on his shoulder and their eyes met for a second before they embraced.

Daphne wasn’t an emotional person, but at that moment she felt it all, her own feelings, Harry’s, and even Snape’s.

“It will be OK, Harry, it’ll all be OK….” She whispered in his ear, trying to lend him her strength.

And it was OK; the horcrux that clung to Harry’s soul died and shortly after, so did Voldemort.

And that time, he remained dead.
