Need more people! Teens with psychic abilities are trapped in a world created for them.
[Introduction]

Somehow, they were all sent to another realm. Something beyond what they knew… and yet it seemed so familiar to them. It looked like a normal town… felt like a normal town. But it wasn’t normal at all.

They were trapped like animals in a zoo made specifically for them… like… they were some kind of toy or experiment. An experiment…

It was their gifts that brought them to this new world. And it will be their gifts that will set them free as they escape the predators that wish to destroy them, and hide from everything that may change them.

Pretty much as it sounds…

A small number of teens were transported to a realm made to hold them. Everyone seems to be after them- even the teachers. Everyone wants to catch them using their gifts, and then punish them. There are punishments for everything that they do. It’s like a modern witch hunt…. Except…. There are rules.

1) They are given a house to stay in, each with their own room.
2) They have a school to go to, special classes and teachers who know of their gifts, and are just waiting for them to use them.
3) To get out, they have to get long and work together, which may be very difficult…
4) There are people ready to kill them- even if they are perfect in every way possible in this new realm. They are monsters, shadows… demons that wish to destroy their destiny.
5) If anyone gets caught using their gifts by someone who is after them, they may be reported to the local police. The person will be punished. If he/she runs from their punisher, they put the whole group in danger.
6) To escape, they have to find the creator of the realm and destroy him.
7) The creator can manipulate every fact of the realm (ex. If they defeat an opponent, the creator can simply snap his fingers and there may be seven new opponents. Can manipulate anything except for the characters.)
8) Each person has a guide, who somehow manages to enter the realm and help them. (We’ll need the group, plus their guides… so… let’s say four in the group, and four guides who become part of the group).

Please, no bios. Just post right away. Please email me stating whether you want to be a guide or a character! And… have fun!
Jasmine didn’t like the look of it at all. As soon as she had woken up, she found herself in her room… but it wasn’t her room at all. It didn’t feel like home. It was awkward, elusive, and above all, it was different. And she couldn’t help but feel as though someone were watching her at that very moment, as she slid out of bed, grabbing the clothes she had carelessly thrown onto her desk the night before, and put them on.

For a moment, Jasmine sat there, trying to collect her thoughts and wake herself up. Something was wrong, terribly so, and she wasn’t happy about it in the least.

“Mom!” Standing, she gathered her strength, knowing deep within herself that her mother, father, and sister were no where in the house. No where around. And they couldn’t hear her scream for the help that she would soon need.

The house was quiet. Still and dark. Gloomy, almost. As though a darkness had spread through and around it, clinging to her skin like a tight blouse, making her tremble. She wasn’t scared and she wasn’t cold… it was the knowing. The deep worry that she held in the core of her being.

“Is this my fate? To be alone and cold… in a home that I once knew, and now seems so foreign to me? Is this to be my fate?” There was part of her that believed that this was just a dream. Some weird, premonition of a sort, telling her what she didn’t want to hear. She was alone. She was different. She was cold. Like the house… that is not a home to anyone at all.

Jasmine had always been alone. In truth, she liked it that way. She made and kept it that way. If she didn’t get close to anyone, then she didn’t get any others in trouble. And the guilt she felt before wouldn’t terrorize her again. She wouldn’t have to go through the pain of knowing…

But somehow, she always did. She knew things that others didn’t. She understood things that others didn’t.

She reached for the knob of her parents’ room, and attempted to open it, but it was stuck. It would not open to her… The knob burned her, as though there were some magical force that was willing her to leave it be. In time, it would open. Every bedroom door in the house would not open, and it slowly ate at her soul.

Not only was she alone, but she was lost. And every door of opportunity was shut.

So, Jasmine did what she knew how to do best. Retreating to her room, she collapsed onto her bed and slept, attempting to forget everything that she knew. And hopefully, she would wake up from the terrible dream of loneliness.

Jessica couldn’t believe her eyes. The street was quiet and bright. Almost perfect. The street was filled with perfectly structured houses, large shady trees in front, white picket fences, bird baths in front, all framed by a light, powder blue sky and a bright, warm sun above. It was disgustingly perfect… she hated it. It wasn’t home.

Home was… much different. Gloomy, dark, cold and wet. Jessica truly belonged there. It rained nearly every day- lightning coming down along with it, and even in the morning, it was foggy, with mist spraying down on her cheeks as she walked to school. It was home. It felt like home to her. It was what she grew up with- and she hated perfection, which, whatever this hell was, was indeed perfect.

Jessica peered up at the house she had just exited. It was drastically different from the other houses on the street. Unlike the other more modern houses, this one was Victorian, and dark. Mysterious. And it had an unusual presence about it. The sunlight seemed to avoid it; instead, it was full of shadows… darkness. Similar to that in her heart; the darkness that gnawed at her, telling her that she was evil. That her gift was evil.

Her gift… was not a gift at all. But a curse, as her mother had said before she left Jessica, her brother, and her father. Her mother feared her, even as a little girl, a baby no less. Jessica had not used her ability since the day she turned five and she realized her mother was not coming home. And since then, she refused to let anyone know of the gift. This meant she couldn’t use it… ever.

But she knew that she would have to use it soon. She had dreams about it. Of a being so close to her reality, that knew her more than she even knew herself. A man, who seemed a few years older than her, who helped guide her. And repeatedly, he would tell her that she would have to make a decision that could cost her life, and others, on her eighteenth birthday. One that would change everything she once knew.

And as her birthday grew closer, Jessica became more aware of the magical energy that flowed through her, wanting to explode and be let out. There was a need to use this ability that just rested there, humming, vibrating, waiting.

A light shone in a window on the second floor, and Jessica’s heart jumped. Something drew her inside, upstairs and to the room. It called her, begged her to find whatever it was. As she reached for the door knob, the door opened, and she found herself staring at the man in her dreams. The man that haunted her thoughts day in and day out. The man that would lead her to her destiny.
Jayania had been walking through a forest. He loved it, with such an array of wondrous creatures around. A falcon settled on nearby branch, spoke to it; not like talking to fellow humans, but like sharing emotions and images.

Far above was a satellite, focused on him. It was able to scan him and notice every detail about him. The satellite picket up that he was 6 foot 3 inches, it noticed his thick almost long hair, that was a dark, but tinged a slight red from the light draping through the leaves of the forest. It saw his clothes, rough and old, but neat. Even his calloused hands reaching up towards the falcon as he spoke to the animal. A ray enveloped the forest and consumed Jayania. Jayania’s world disbursed into filaments of bright light. In the next instant he was standing in a hall.

He almost stumbled when he first arrived. It took a few moments fore the flashes of light to clear. In the hall was a woman, she was laying on the ground, unconscious. Jayania is always careful about his ability, so he checked her pulse, and at the same time tried to detect if she needed to be healed. The woman was fine it seemed.

The urgency of the situation had made him forget his own worries. Now he looked around, confused. He sat down, next to the woman.
“If there are answers, they’ll probably be here” he muttered to himself.
The explosion in the other room jerked her awake. What the hell was going on? All the doors had been locked, almost magically, it seemed.

So, this hadn't been a dream. No explosion like that- which sent ripples of energy coursing through the house- would be humanly possible.

No, this was not a dream. More of a nightmare.

She stood and moved to the door, peering into the hallway. A few people were scattered along the hall, and she quickly stepped away. "Stay back! I don't care who you are, stay away. This is my home, leave me and be gone!"

This... WAS my home...

They turned to her suddenly, as if just noticing her, shields immediately flying up. They seemed to fear her, and yet at the same time, know her. Better her.

"...Whoever you are, leave me be. I dont know how I got here, I just want to go home..."

"Well, it seems we are in the same position." The woman nearest her muttered, her eyes turning on the man in the corner, holding a woman who seemed to be unconscious.

"...Not entirely," The man glanced from each. "I suggest we... figure out what we're doing here. I know a bit... but not very much. I'll explain to the best of my knowledge."

"What's wrong with her?" Jessica stared at the man on the ground, beside the woman who lay unconscious in his arms. Another woman was behind her, obviously scared yet trying to at least seem she wasn't. "And.. where did..."

She turned to her room, where the man had been and no longer was. "...you go..?"

Tucking a few strands of her long black hair behind her ear, she moved into her room. Or, what was supposed to be her room. Everything was as it was supposed to be, except for the eerie presence that existed in the room. A feeling of being watched, and yet there was also a feeling of warmth and protection. No doubt from the familiarity of the room.

"Yeah, you better explain to the best of your knowledge," she heard the woman from the room at the end of the hall mutter. "Who are you and why are you here?"

"Why am I here? I'm not really sure. I have my guesses."

Jessica turned to the hall again, watching the two interact. The man held the woman in his arms close, protectively, as if Jessica were an enemy, some kind of monster. "What are you?"

"What?" The woman and man both peered up at her.

"I heard- and saw the door explode... I saw you appear... I saw her do... whatever she did. What are you and what is she?" Jessica stared at the two on the ground, lips pursed, waiting for an answer.

The woman behind her touched her arm gently. "What did you see?"

"..." Jessica pulled back slightly. "That girl just blew up a door... I think. I dont know really... I assumed it was her. And he..." she peered back at the man. "Just appeared."

He stood up, picking up the young woman into his arms. "Look, let's put her in bed, and-"

"No!" The woman beside her screamed. "There's something wrong with the rooms. I don't trust them. Let's go into the living room and talk."

"Sounds good to me." He said with a sigh.

Jessica turned to her room again, frowning. What was it?

Don't worry. I'm still with you. I'll stay by your side as long as you need me... I'll never leave you. Unless, of course, you tell me to leave... I understand...

"Who are you..?" The frown on her face deepened and she moved into the room again, eyes darting across, her gaze absorbing the contents.

"Coming?" the woman touched Jessica's arm again, but drew it back as if she had been burned.

"I'll be there in a moment." She looked back at the woman and forced a slight smile. "I'm sorry... I'm just so... confused."

"I understand." The girl smiled. "My name's Jasmine."

"Jessica."

"Would you like me to wait here in case anything happens...?"

"Actually, I'd like to be alone for a moment." Jessica closed the door behind her, carefully checking the lock.

I'll be visible again as soon as I can. Whoever created this place has been trying to rid me of my energy... But don't worry, I won't let that happen.

"WHO ARE YOU?" Jessica repeated.

Hikaru...

All at once, something hit her. It felt like something struck her right in her stomach, on her head, and her middle back, yet at the same time a rush of energy flew through her, as if filling her with a new hope, and healing her injuries.

Don't worry. It's normal. The eighteenth year is coming... one of great importance, as you know. Just be careful. I don't know what they want from you.

"Who are they?"

"The watchers." His words were audible, whispered right into her ear. She could feel his presence. The warm, protective presence she felt was her room. But it was the man, her guide in every dream she'd had since she was a young girl.

"I see." Jessica rubbed at her arms, fighting off the chills that had crept up on her.

"Jessica? Are you okay?"

She heard Jasmine knock on her door, and was slightly taken aback.

"Y-yeah. I'm fine.."

"We heard you yelling..."

"Yelling?" Jessica moved to the door and opened it, flicking off the lock as she peered back to the spot where she felt 'Karu. "Sorry... I didnt realize I was yelling."

"It's okay... who were you talking to?" Jasmine glanced across the room.

"Myself..." Jessica smiled slightly. "Just.. talking to myself."
"I think if these 'Watchers' want to see us... and I expect watch as we do special things... well they can just forget it, I'mnot going to be on show."

The others nodded.

"By the way, I have nature powers, like animal kin-ship and healing... I asume everyone else here can do somthing? Not that I can detect anything, but... well a door exploded, and if you put one and one together..."
