Like most issues of import, it is not simply a black and white issue. It has been a point of contention for all time, perhaps one of the most complex and difficult to even define, much less to resolve amicably. I personally find it fascinating, as well as profound. I don't find the answer in a political context, nor in an ideological one, although most individuals invariable do so. and it always comes down to exactly that, it undeniably comes down to the individual. And the flip side of that same coin, what we call collectivism. in fact, the coin has many more sides than you might imagine, and it only makes a resolution that much more difficult. |
