Acid Tongued

Interesting subject. Things can and do get out of hand. I've seen it on forums with seemingly harmless purposes like discussing movies.

Forum behavior is fascinating and yet repetitive at the same time. I've seen this empty post spamming before and also the out of control fighting.

One forum, not on writing.com, that I used to really like got that way and I found myself very upset because I had read and posted there for over a year. But it ended up being ruled by bitter idiotic feuds and a handful of the loudest ruling the place.

Selene's solution to that type of thing: get away from it. Real life can be enough of a task. Who needs to get so involved in a forum that it starts to really matter ion a very unpleasant way. That is a general statement and not aimed at you as I didn't see your post that way.

And I wouldn't really know what to do if it happened on a forum I moderate. I can't answer that one since I've been avoiding that situation!
