When I see you smile, genuinely my way, it makes my dam burst with love,
My eyes tear up, you can make me give way, trees fall, silence reigns,
Your genuine smile my way is powerful, cherished, deep as a deep, deep, river,
It lights me up inside and melts the walls around my heart that I build up each day.

When you smile, you have an in into my heart-should I guard it out of fear?;
That you’ll change me, control me, hurt me, ‘cause you have,
Or should I consider that usually you’re careful with my heart, what’s that?
I’m not?!? You’re right, you said it softly not to hurt.

Your smile also melts my heart like butter that’s been out,
My love spreads so easily, so calmly, you’ve created generosity,
Your smile also represents angst in humor, when you know I’m teasing,
You smile, and stick out your lower jaw-then I guard my tickle spots.

Quite simply put, you’re an angel in human form,
But here for the long haul, hard-working friendly, loving,
Caring, sharing, honest, The Way you smile shines the Heavens above me,
