A mornings word

An immoral defibrillation.

A crash course in insainty
and everyones taking sides.

Causes are unimportant
as excuses replace reason
and puts everyone open to risk.

A putrid infusion into an already
festering wound, left unattended,
where confusion is the order of the day
and we're all left standing in the rain
in fruitless efforts to wash away the stinch
of our own inaction.

And a pause taken in reflection
at the price of realization,
as the illusion of free will
tightens it bonds.

It's only a change of masters
the burdens are the sames.
A line to be towed in expectation
regardless of cost, a fine line indeed
drawn in the shifting sands of time..
