A mornings word

Walking through the memories
in the shadows of my mind
searching for the rainbows
that only dreams can find

Wandering down the backstreets
that lead to memory lane
washing down with teardrops
the ones that cause me pain

Strolling through the long lost days
of all the years gone by
sorting through the broken hearts
and the reasons why I cry

Pondering on the lonely times
for all have taken toll
never to be forgotten
a mark upon my soul
