Write poetry from prompts just for the fun of it; formal or free verse, you pick.

Cold Dawn
by A Non-Existent User
A splendid morning, a splendid sun-
I stirred and shook, the day had dawned!
Between the covers, beneath the ceiling,
I lay there huddled, cold and cosy.

The sunbeam danced, the sparrows chirped,
what a lovely herald! what a lovely beginning!
I shove the sheets, and step outside,
a beautiful dawn, a beautiful sun

My nerves froze, my foot twittered,
but I stood gazing, awe-struck and rapt,
oh my! it soothed my senses,
I stood and stared, and stared.

I wished a thousand times,
that this moment would last,
and linger for eternity, for the
sun had invoked my creativity!
