A monthly contest for formal poetry in rhyme and meter.

This poem is what I've termed a Doppelgänger, a sort of photo-negative arrangement. I worked the meter out with a college professor and it's the only one I've seen, though I have seen similar methods of mirroring and folding, but never this obsessive. Perhaps you've seen it elsewhere and have the proper nomenclature. If so I'd love your feedback. Alternating Iambic Octameter (marked "a" below) and Iambic Heptameter (marked "b" below) Couplet rhymes Lines 1-4 ("abba") oppose 7-10, ("baab"), separated by 5-6 ("aa") Lines 11-14 ("baab") oppose 17-20 ("abba"), separated by 15-16 ("bb") Finalized by "aa, bb" in 21-24 and "ab" in 25-26 Hopefully it qualifies, but either way: All the best to everyone, thank you, and good luck! ~ATB
