I'm not sure if this qualifies for the Political area. It's more about a senator's aide than the senator himself. It's really short, too. It's a thought that's been rattling around in my head for a while: ever since I saw the prompt. I almost didn't write it, but I decided I would.

So here it is, with around 1,072 words.
