Honoring the WDC members who have passed away |
How do we remember those authors who have spent so many hours of their short lives giving and sharing on WDC? Jaye was someone I watched closely since she was such a prolific reviewer - always high up on the charts and consistently. One counted themselves fortunate to receive one of her well written and thought out reviews. She gave and gave, then gave some more. I normally notice when a strong reviewer slips in the charts and I deeply regret not noticing when she fell away. It is always a sign that something is wrong in their personal lives. So how shall we remember her? I think she would answer that by telling us to be more aware of those around us. When one of us stumbles or slips away - pursue answers as to 'why'. Ask - 'what can I do to help?' As I have read on WDC many times, this is a community. As members of this community, we should make every effort to look after our fellow members who have quietly slipped away. Keep asking around until you get some form of answer. Jaye was there for WDC and its members until she just couldn't give anymore. I can't believe that we let her slip away so quietly. But maybe that's how she wished to leave... She embodied the spirit of giving and sharing. ** Images For Use By Upgraded+ Only ** ** Images For Use By Upgraded+ Only ** |
