I am very new to this site and am a little overwhelmed by all the content. There is so much material. I enjoyed reading your guestbook.

I was born in Orlando, FL and lived in Melbourne, FL where my father worked for NASA back in the days of Apollo Missions. Your description prompted memories of rising early to attend the launches. I remember them like they were yesterday (and goodness knows it's been many, many years).

I now live in Alabama with a wonderful husband of 20 years (we met on our first 100 mile bike ride & we still ride) and a 12 year old autistic daughter. I am recently unemployed and have decided to pick up writing again. It was an activity I enjoyed in my youth but never continued after high school (my parents pushed me to go for a more lucrative career & since they paid for college, I did). After years of working without really being present, I am grateful to have the opportunity to explore writing again. So I am here to learn and absorb all the information I possibly can. My style is very sophomoric (about where I left it in high school) so it needs a whole lot of work to get it where I want it to be. Reading prose like yours and other authors on this site helps me tremendously.
