For newbies seeking mentors and writers needing support via their peers; stop by today! |
Have you looked in lost and found? I suggest trying this approach. Because writing is your passion; my passion as well, I strongly suggest: Giving yourself permission to write anything anyway and then sit down, take a deepbreath, enjoy this experience, release this breath and start writing whatever comes to mind. If nothing comes to mind start writing abcdefg.....etc. Write anything for as long as you are able and then push yourself to write a little more evern if it is one more line of characters on the page/screen. Now that you have successfully written something, reward yourself and ralax. Tomorrow repeat this exercise. the next day repeat this exercise. Notice I havn't mentioned reading what you write. At the moment this is not important. Your goal is to write and get back into the flow of putting characters on paper/screen. After you have had a week of success, than look through what you wrote. There is gold in these characters somewhere. Give yourself time to get back into writing., Sometimes we burn ourselves out and just need to take a break. Other times we get into a rut and forget there are other topics/subjects to incorporate in our writing. Sometimes we need to step out of our comfort zone and have a writing adventure.
