Well, here's and interesting story. I broke my foot on May 11th and went to the Emergency Room for emergency bandaging, to be followed up on Monday, May 14th for a proper cast.
I arrived at the orthopedic surgeon, and when I hobbled on crutches to use the restroom the pneumatic door hit me in the right hip and threw me to the ground, breaking the left hip.
Hip surgery was on the 15th and I was discharged from the hospital on May 29th. I'm mobile on a walker or wheelchair for six weeks. Absolutely no weight-bearing. I think there should be a universal award—or at least a pity party— for someone who breaks two bones in three days.
