I know writers create differently. How do you go about writing your entries for this contest?

Me? I check out the prompt first thing in the morning. Sometimes I have a clear idea of where I want to go. Other times I'm
completely stumped.
Often I will revisit the prompt several times during the day. I think of what I want to write and even do some of the work in my
head. I sometimes have the entire story, sometimes only part but once I begin writing it just falls into place. And I'm often surprised
at the direction it takes.
