Confusion. That’s all I felt when I thought about him. Utterly and completely confused. And also maybe a little twinge of attraction. But mostly just confusion.
His dark blonde hair parted carefully to the side, his warm brown eyes looking into mine. I bit my lip. Thinking of him raised certain urges that only made the entire situation more confusing. I shook my head to clear it.
At that moment, the door burst open and he came storming in. He was wearing a brown suede jacket and a cute little black bandana around his neck. I tried to hide my smile.
He raised his eyebrows at me, squirming around in excitement. “Leah, I want to let you go. But I can’t if you don’t cooperate.”
I pushed my lip out into a pout. “But these ropes are hurting my wrists.”
His expression hardened. “Just remember. This is my job.” He raised a lethal-looking weapon to my head.
I sighed. “Are we seriously doing this again?”
