Writing a novel, would like to interview some people

Hello everyone,

I'm currently writing a novel related to 9/11. One of my characters is Middle Eastern and experiences backlash and hate crime, and he struggles to maintain his Christian faith through it all. I wanted to know if there were any people from the Middle Eastern community I could speak with, but I'm not sure how I could go about this without offending anyone. Does anyone have any tips? Your advice would help. Thanks!
