Hey Angus,
I'm in the beginning of 'Doctor Sleep.' I am more familar with the movie version of 'The Shining' than the novel, however. At least, I've shaken hands with the characters in this story. I did a reality check on the Stanley Hotel and discovered that there is a crystal formation under its foundation. Crystal can be a power source for ghost. And it is thought this hotel is actually haunted. If it was so, I would enjoy a sleepless night there with notebook in hand. Though the writing may be a little screwy.

By the way, I lodged a short story on the shelf of my portfolio. It's called, 'Hunters' Haunt.' Thanks!
