I think that compared to many of you, I am a Jane Austen newbie. I have read her novels, but I don't know much about her life. So, it will be interesting to learn more.
That means that I don't think I have anything to share that you don't already know. However, whilst looking for a spin-off novel I read, that I quite enjoyed, I found this list:
I had no idea that there were so many... including a vampire novel!
The one I read was A Weekend With Mr. Darcy, by Victoria Connelly. It's about Jane Austen fans like us going to a convention. A sweet, romantic read. The author is obviously a fan, too. I'd recommend it if you want to read something light and Austen related.
I think that it's nice that Jane Austen's work is still inspiring writers in our day. That just goes to show how good an author she was, having created such beloved characters.
