Thanks for the clarification question! To my mind, a moral in this contest can either be serious or comic. I'll be judging on writing style, creativity and execution more than on what the moral actually is. However, humor and irony are effective tools in many fables. Often, a humorous portrayal of a serious moral issue is the most poignant and thought provoking.
