Are any of you writers out there fortunate enough to have someone with whom you can share your passion for writing? Maybe it is a husband or a wife, or just a good friend who understands what it is you do while burning the midnight oil. The only sounding board I have is my wife. And, although she will state convincingly that she believes I have a gift for writing, I often wonder if she is saying what she believes I want to hear. Of course, I want her to be as excited as I about some volume of work that holds a piece of my heart. Alas, although she is kind and supportive, I really don't feel that she gets it. It could be that I am asking more than she can give. After all, this is my path to walk and not hers.

My passion for writing is born solely in the hope that I may influence considerations of a heart.
