Daily Flash Fiction Challenge

Andy was getting ready to shower after gym, but Coach Myers called him into his office. Coach was concerned because Andy seemed depressed. Andy laughed it off. Not wanting to reveal how small and unwanted he felt.

Andy sang while showering, trying to shake off his depression.
Running late, he barely made it to English class. As soon as class was over, his phone dinged with a video message showing him singing “Let it go” in the gym shower. He noticed other kids getting the same message and pointing and laughing.

Another one of Heather’s pranks. For years she had taunted him. He vowed to get even. Time to prank the prankster.

Heather was overly pleased with her latest prank, and decided to go shopping. Her eighteenth birthday is on Saturday and she wanted jewelry. She figured she would have to be specific if she wanted her parents to buy something she liked.

Heather was no stranger to Crown Jewelers, and the sales lady was more than happy to assist her.

Heather’s eyes lit up as she groped and fondled every set of earrings in the 10 to 20 thousand dollar range. There were so many choices and she loved them all. Suddenly the fire alarm blared causing confusion and concern in the jewelry store. Heather left the store, hastily and headed home.

On Monday in science class Heather was despondent over not getting jewelry for her birthday. The best part came when the police arrested her in class, and the video went viral.

Heather never returned to school.

They found the stolen earrings in her purse. She told them it was nonsense to think she would do such a thing.

After Heather’s imprisonment Andy quickly recovered from his depression. He even got an “A” on his poem titled “Sweet Revenge “.
