Kindness for Kiya

Dear Kiya,
I've already expressed my horror and sympathy over what happened to you. It was truly awful, and it is horrifying to think that there are still being going through that, and for horrendously long periods of time. You gave us all an insight to that, and I'm sure I wasn't the only one who was shocked.

But as awful as all that was, it has been truly amazing to watch this community and others gather around to offer you love and support. I'm sure this outreaching will be a bit overwhelming, but it is well deserved. You have done so much for others on this site, it is nice to be able to do a little something for you in return. And truly, it is rare that we can do anything practical to help others on this site, and there's so much we can't help with in your situation, but if we can take a little pressure and stress off, or even just wrap you up in a huge hug of warm fuzzies and support, then I'm glad we can do that for you.

Don't ever forget that while we may not say it often enough, we do appreciate all that you do for us. Kia kaha (stay strong).
