Well, it has changed quite a bit since I started. I used to have the same problem as you, Matt, not finishing my stuff. So I wrote a bunch of flash fiction since it's easy to get done in one sitting, and now that's no longer an issue I'm working my way through longer and longer stories.
The next big thing was my descriptions which were generally just bad. I've been working on improving them through writing exercises and short stories for a while now. So now I have a new weak spot, my characters, same as you, Brom. They just feel flat.
