More items types, including the “Book” item type, become available to members at different membership levels. More information to help you decide which membership level is right for you can be found here: "Free and Paid Membership Benefits" 

“Book” items allow a member to post chapters as separate entries, which is available to Upgraded Members.

However, many members choose to post several chapters in one item. This of course creates quite a lot of scrolling, but it can be done (until you reach the size limit for a single item).

Memberships can be purchased with real world money, or you can use the Gift Point (GP) currency unique to this site to purchase a membership. More information on how to earn GPs can be found here: "How to Acquire Gift Points"
