If it were me writing the Abi line, I'd be strongly tempted to write it as a bit of a comedy of terrors - Will either approaching or being approached by each of Abi's friends in turn because they want to be the one to be Abi. Might be difficult to pull off though.
The Niamh line feels like it should be a power corrupts story, though this is well trodden ground for the Book.
