The Place for Seniors! |
1,000 GPs were sent to "SENIOR CENTER GROUP " with this post.
The Corona Virus has us pretty much housebound. I thought about the idea that writers might be better equipped to handle isolation because our work/hobby is such a solitary one. Then I thought about the fact that a 'senior' probably has a better appreciation of time than a younger person. Now this forum, which is purported to be for senior writers, is devoid of participation. Where is everyone? Maybe I can start some participation by asking some questions that a senior writer should have plenty of answers for. I'll post my own answers in a separate post. Here we go. In the last month: 1. What have you written? 2. What have you read? 3. Have you posted a review of any other author on Writing.com? 4. Have you posted anything, anywhere on Writing.com or any other website? 4. What music have you listened too? (sit down and listen, not background music) 5. Have you learned anything new (from any source)? If the Corona Virus has impacted you personally, I am truly sorry, and I don't want to seem unfeeling, but maybe writing about that experience will provide some healing for you. A sentence should contain no unnecessary words, a paragraph no unnecessary sentences, for the same reason a drawing should have no unnecessary lines and a machine no unnecessary parts. Make every word tell. – Will Strunk |
