Chris, here are today's offerings. I hope you enjoy them. "The Need and the Supply" "Shakespearean Sonnet: "The Gift of God"" Prompt: "Why is acknowledging our sin and God as Creator and Redeemer important in our reconciliation with God?" "8 If we say that we have no sin, we deceive ourselves, and the truth is not in us. 9 If we confess our sins, he is faithful and just to forgive us our sins, and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness. 10 If we say that we have not sinned, we make him a liar, and his word is not in us." (I John 1:8-10, KJV) The best response I have for this prompt is found in these verses. We have a problem. That problem is Sin. Confessing our Sin is agreeing with the Lord, regarding our problem, which is being unfit for his Presence. Confessing (agreeing that) He is the Creator says the same thing, that He says, regarding our first birth. He is the Only One, Who could create us. Confessing (agreeing that) He is the Savior says the same thing, that He says, regarding our second birth. (John 3:1-18) His Perfect Birth, His Perfect Life, His Perfect Sacrifice, and His Unequivocally Perfect Resurrection makes Him the Only One fit to save us. Perfect Creation - Original Sin = The Wages of Sin (aka Hell) Perfection Creation - Original Sin + Jesus' Death/Burial/Resurrection = The Gift of God (aka Heaven & Life forever with Jesus of Nazareth, HIStory's Only Messiah) (Romans 6:23) Go it on our own throughout Life on Earth without repentance, and we will be forced to go it on our own forever. See our Sin and our need of the Savior at some point in our earthly life, turning to Him for the Great Exchange of our sin for His Righteousness, and we will go forever on His Merits. Be Blessed! |
