Reflections of Old Lover Writing com

An old man
Walks slowly to the grave
Hand clasped together.

In prayer
contemplation
memories flooding.

He and his wife
Fell in love
During their teenage years.

When they were both
young and foolish
broke, yet filled with love.

over time
they became old lovers
aging in love together.

now she lies buried
beneath the headstones
just another Corona ghost.

sighing
he places flowers
on the grave,

Recalling the sad ending
when General Corona
took her away.
