How do I determine if "normal life" is vital to the setup? I don't believe the pace would suffer if I start with normal life, but I'm not sure that it's the best way to introduce the MC. She will be taking a sabbatical (the title) to mourn her beloved husband, which is when she'll encounter the murder mystery.
