Acid Tongued

Whoever had the audacity to say that obviously has no rectal problems or buttocks blemishes, which is to say they are a perfect ass! If writers had never broken with convention, On the Road, The Stand, etc. would have never been published. Taking advice is one thing, being told to give up is another.

Incidently, the rock group Boston was told by a CBS excecutive to give up and go on home. That was right before their album of the same name was released on Epic records and became a number 1 bestseller of that year. Gee, I wonder who was right!

My advice is to get a mentor, a published author that will take the time to help you. There are a handful on this site. Most, however, have run into exactly the kind of thing you have and leave. Write from your heart for your heart, and then there is no such thing as bad.
