Ever wonder why there are so many laws? And how a lot of them don't make much sense? Well, I've got a story for you to read, so read! Ten year old Macy Jones stormed through the wooods, muttering to herself. "Why do there have to be so many rules?" she grumbled. "Why are prices on candy in stores so high? Why can't we all just do what we want to?" Macy stopped storming and sat down on a rock. "Why are there even laws and rules about nature?"she said to herself, looking up a spruce tree. "If I could make a world, I'd have made trees purple. And grass blue. The sky would be yellow and the sun would be pink." Macy stopped for a moment and thought. She thought about all the laws in the world; all the rules. Then she thought about what the world would be like without those laws. She had often imagined a place full of color and candy and happiness if the were no rules. But now that she thought about it, she realized that the world would be in caos. Murderers would be free, children could steal and do drugs freely. Everything would be horrible! Macy got up and walked through the forest to apologize to her mother. Laws really are important. |
