1. “Jack, I thought you said you thawed out the turkey?”

2. “Hey Joe, guess what? Uncle Bubba’s coming for Thanksgiving dinner. Joe?…”

3. It wasn’t much, a small chicken, some withered vegetables and stale bread, but it would have to do.

4. It had taken everything he had, but he finally made it across the ridge. For six days he had crawled, rolled and slid his way to where he was now. But his biggest challenge was yet to come.
