I realize, and by the author's own admission, that this wasn't quite a short story. Still, I thought it made excellent use of the prompt and was my favorite of the submissions for this round. I can sympathize, I hve started writing one thing and have ended up writing something completely different before I was done. i've often wondered how that can be........ in the end it is best not to fight the muse, for the muse will win. *Smile*
