Through the window I look out,
I see the people rushing all about
to and fro, with no particular place to go.
Their faces are so long and sad
as if all they see is bad.
Eyes full of pain and sorrow
with no hope for tomorrow.
How I long to call out to say,
Let me help you on your way,
Let me bear your burdens, and dry your tears.
Not just for today, but for all of your years.
Let us walk together, hand in hand,
to share our love throughout the lands.
Never mind the colors of our skins or the Gods that we adore.
Let us work together forever more.
Though the words be mine to say, they will not come.
Turning from the window, my reflection I see.
I look out and see myself rushing all about to and fro
with no particular place to go.
