Is this how I write here?
Not sure what I'm doing....

This week work was very busy. Which is good. I worked very hard at work and was physically tired afterwards.

My sister invited me to go to the concert in the park on Tuesday but I declined. It’s hard for an extrovert to understand how an introvert (like me) values alone time and space. After a busy day at work–talking to people, solving problems, and just all the noise and stimuli–I like to sit in my underwear and play solitaire on the computer quietly.

Also on Tuesday I got a call from the veterinarian office. I was able to go pick up Oscar. I went and paid the gal and she handed me a paper bag with his little box of ashes. I was doing great up until she handed me the bag. Then I thanked her in a quivering voice and went out to the car to cry.

It’s rodeo week here in northern Wyoming. It’s like a…thing. Cowboys come from all over the place to partake in the festivities. Yesterday was the parade. Many business closed and many of the departments at the hospital were closed—for the rodeo week parade. I thought it was odd. My workmates thought it was odd that I thought it was odd.

I went to the rodeo last night. I hand’t been to a rodeo probably since I was 12 or 13. Oh at the nearby college, you can get a rodeo scholarship. How about that? Anyway…It was fun! I will admit that after like 2 1/2 hours I got a little bored. During a few of the events I cheered for the steer. Sorry–I’m a woman from Seattle and seeing a steer get taken down in a whiplash like fashion by his little horns was a tiny bit cringe to me. I get it–sometimes in real life maybe one has to rope a steer by the horns and then tie his legs up so he can’t move.

Two guys were taken away by ambulance and one guy was helped into the medical tent. At one point a horse and a steer both ran into the fence and were down for a minute. They both got up and left on their own.

In other news… my cousin’s wife (who is also my brother-in-law’s nice–small area) has kittens. She thinks she has one which would be perfect for me. She sent me some pictures and a video. He’s 3 months old. He’s orange with blue eyes. She says he’s really snuggly.

He’s really damn cute.

And I know that it sounds kind of whatever but…. Oscar and I were so close. I think he knew exactly how much I loved him. When I had to decide to let him go, I was holding him so close and he was snuggling in almost like he was comforting me rather than the other way around. I think he would want me to love another kitty.

I’m probably going to get this one.

I know it’s soon… I do.
