Visual presentation of my promos for Constitution Day 2005
I worked this from prose I was typing up for a Constitution Week display. Initially, the shape was looking like the Liberty Bell. As I tried to clean it up and refine the shape in rewriting, I started to see a classic "head" shape (similar to George Washington's profile on the American quarter dollar).

I worked with color and then the idea of lifting the line ending with an elipse, and placing it in a "thought bubble."

I'm pleased with the result.

The text of the companion piece (NOT SHOWN) reads as follows:

What Does It Take
To
Declare Freedom from Tyranny
Write a Constitution
Ratify it among the citizenry
and
Live to uphold it?
