Off the fjord not far from Whittier, Alaska
A beautiful spot for a picnic
exists not far from Whittier
beside the fjord, once the ground
where a mighty glacier moved.
The mountains in the background
provide a curtain for water,
a glassy mirror that reflects the sky.
Trees frame the view, creating
a photo more lovely than man can make.
My eyes devour the sight before me.
