An Amazing Discovery

You ignore the phone ringing, but the guy who untied you didn't. "Sir, the phone is ringing," he said.

Then you both make an amazing discovery. The man's back was turned when the guy said "The phone's ringing," but your guard didn't even glance at the phone,

The other captive looks at you and smiles, "He's deaf!" he yells loudly. You glance up at the man who is guarding you and swallow hard. Should you--

1. try to escape-he's on the other side of the room.

2. or should you stay put, he may be pretending.
