The sound of the massive chain link fence closing behind you as you drag the chains shackled to your ankles along the concrete path makes the reality of your situation more lucid. You didn't know what to expect here but your life as an orphan living on the streets prepared you, at least somewhat. You know not to cry, and most of all, to never, ever snitch, on another inmate or on one of the Correctional Officers.
You try to bring your hands up to your face to wipe away the tear welling in your eye before it could stream down your cheek but couldn't. Your hands are cuffed to a loop of chain around your waist. It's hard to keep in lock step since the prisoners in front and behind you both seem to be tall leggy "women". Due primarily to prison population over crowding you have been sent, much to your horror, to the shemale supermax correctional facility typically called, "Rock Bottom", because, once you were here, you couldn't get much lower. Despite the fact that you are barely more than a child in the eyes of most people, you were intended to serve as an, "example" that no matter how young you are or how sorry your situation, breaking the law was no laughing matter. While the original intention was to send you to a "regular" facility, it was discovered that all other prisons in the region were already overfull and understaffed, and when asked whether you could simply be sent here, The Board of Corrections simply said "close enough".
