You are Matt, a fairly good looking guy in your 20s. Sometime ago you decided it would be best to forego having a body, thus you wandered off to the nearest 'head' doctor and got your head right off that sorry body. Some might think being bodiless is a limitation, but you find it comfortable, being able to roll around as you please, and for course you aren't just any disembodied head, but a pet one, so you get an owner to take care of you.

Speaking of which, after you had your head removed, you were promptly transferred to the nearest head adoption store.
